FIFCO World Corporate Champions Cup:
This milestone would not have been possible without our new partnership with the International Federation of Corporate Football (FIFCO) and the Corporate World Cup.
The 7th edition of the FIFCO World Corporate Champions Cup will take place in the artisanal Moroccan city, Fez. The event will run from 22 October to 26 October and is set to follow the traditional format, featuring 16 companies from 16 different nations.
While we celebrate our own achievement, FIFCO will be celebrating a milestone of its own. For the first time, this year, FIFCO will be introducing an exclusive women’s championship. The women’s event will be showcased as an exhibition during this years’ World Championship.
“This is a captivating city that will enchant all those who visit,” the President of FIFCO, Albert Zbily, said. “We take pride in partnering with our local associates to organise and execute the 7th edition of this tournament.”
For the past 2 years, Saman Bank of Iran have been named consecutive winners of the Corporate Cup. Last year, the Iranian team did not lose any matches over the three-day event and emerged victorious after a nail-biting final against MasterCard from the US.
Iran’s representatives are becoming known as the one to beat, having won four out of the last 6 editions of the cup. The nation has also been named “the most successful team in this tournament series” by FIFCO themselves. However, United Arab Emirates remain on top of the world rankings leaderboard.
