A total of 15 qualifying teams took to the Sir Alf Ramsay Arena to participate in the National Finals of The Big Goal 2025.
Split into three equal groups of 5 teams, following the live conducted draw, a lot of the talk ahead of the Nationals was about Group B and the so-called “Group of Death”! In the Group were two of the three Regional Champions along with the National Champions from last year, which made for a very exciting number of games. The Northern Champions Elite Group made it through, and were joined by Group A winners LANtern Tech, as well as Welcomm Communications who qualified as overall Best Runners Up in Group A, on goal difference.
These qualifying teams were also joined by Southern Champions, Onecom Group, who topped Group C unbeaten, having won all their Group games – and who had competed against The Big Goal Headline Sponsors, Giacom, as well as Media Partners to the campaign, Comms Dealer.

The Semi-Finals saw Group A winners, LANtern Tech, up against Group B winners, Elite Group. Both teams had won all their Group games and had a healthy score card, but it was an inspired Elite Group team that saw their game play just too much for LANtern Tech, resulting in a convincing 6-2 victory, to claim their place in the National Final – for the second consecutive year, having lost to Virgin Media last year in the 2024 National Final.
In the other Semi-Final, Group C winners, Onecom Group, who were also another team to have won all their Group games, came up against Group A runners up, Welcomm Communications. The Southern Champions were just too strong an outfit for Welcomm, claiming a 4-1 win to make the Final.

ELITE GROUP
2025 National Champions
The National Final saw our Northern Champions, Elite Group, up against our Southern Champions, Onecom Group to offer a fantastic National Final competition. Up to this point too, both teams had won all their games throughout, scoring goals aplenty. Both were on fire and both teams knew what was at stake. Not just the glory of the National title - but with the winners claiming their right to represent England at the Corporate World Cup in Morocco the following month! The National Final was set. Both teams took to the stage - and the game didn't disappoint. The standard of football was excellent, with both teams looking very strong in the early stages - but it was Elite Group who struck first and with such, came an ever-increasing confidence. Having been National Runners Up last year, the crowd could sense just how much Elite Group wanted to make amends to go the one step further. As the game went on, Onecom were beginning to tire, and suddenly Elite Group struck a second. It was on the cards... and the third goal came shortly thereafter. The final whistle went, and it was Elite Group who claimed a richly deserved win, coming out on top 3-0 to claim the national trophy - and the chance to represent England! Our huge congratulations to all teams taking part in The Big Goal 2025 National tournament - and a special congratulations to our newest National Champions - ELITE GROUP!
