The Big Goal Cup
The UK’s largest corporate 5-a-side competition, with a social heartbeat
The Big Goal Cup is the flagship activation of The Big Goal campaign. It is the most visible part of the movement, and it is one part of it.
The Cup brings businesses together through football, competition and social impact.
It gives organisations a way to engage employees, build company culture, make new business relationships and help create opportunities for young people facing homelessness and other barriers to work.
More than a football tournament, the Cup is part of a national movement that shows what happens when business comes together behind a shared purpose.
Play for your company. Play for your community.
Every team that enters The Big Goal Cup helps support The Big Goal Youth Opportunity Network: Street Soccer Academies, mentoring, and pathways into work for young people across England and Wales.
Your organisation competes for silverware. It also funds opportunity.
How the competition works
Regional Finals
Businesses compete against other organisations in their region. The strongest teams progress.
National Finals
Regional qualifiers meet at St George’s Park, the home of England football, to compete for the title of National Champions.
The road to glory
Every team that enters gets:
- Professional tournament organisation
- Official fixtures and results
- High-quality venues
- Photography and media coverage
- Networking with other Member businesses
- A day out that people talk about afterwards
- National recognition
Represent England on the world stage
Elite Group representing England in 2025
No other corporate football competition in the UK offers this. National Champions earn the right to represent England at the FIFCO Corporate World Cup, competing against corporate champions from around the world.
For a lot of Members, this has become the most exciting part of the season.
Why businesses take part
Employee engagement
Colleagues brought together around a shared goal, and a day they remember.
Team building
Relationships, collaboration and morale, built through competition rather than a workshop.
Networking
Businesses from multiple sectors and regions, in the same place, with something in common.
Company pride.
Employees representing their organisation and competing for national honours.
Social impact
Support for young people through The Big Goal Youth Opportunity Network while your workforce is engaged.
Included with Membership
Every Member can enter The Big Goal Cup free as part of annual Membership.
Members may enter one team in each region where they have an operational presence, so organisations can engage employees across multiple locations. Businesses of every size can represent themselves nationally.
Guest team entry
A limited number of Guest Team places are available to organisations that want to experience the Cup while considering Membership.
Guest Team entry is £1,000 per team. Guest Teams compete but do not receive the wider benefits of Membership. Organisations that join within 60 days of playing can have their entry fee credited against their Membership investment.
More than a tournament
Each year, businesses come together to compete, connect and create impact.
And from 2027 there are ways to take part that have nothing to do with playing. If your organisation wants to back the campaign without putting a team out, there is a route in. Football is how The Big Goal started. It is not the only way to belong to it.
Some join to win. Some join to network. Some join to engage their people. All join to be part of something bigger than themselves.
Compete. Connect. Create impact.
Become National Champions. And help change young lives along the way.
